Teijin announces takeover bid for Toho Rayon

3 textile firms raided for alleged cartel in U.S.

TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows the headquarters of Toray Industries Inc. in Tokyo, which prosecutors searched along with offices of Toho Rayon Co. and Mitsubishi Rayon Co. on March 15 on suspicion the three illegally concluded a price-fixing agreement on carbon fiber in the United States in violation of the U.S. antitrust law.
