Local mayor OKs restarting Oi nuclear reactors

FUKUI, Japan - Shinobu Tokioka (R), mayor of Oi town in Fukui Prefecture, informs Fukui Gov. Issei Nishikawa of his consent to restarting two idled reactors at the Oi nuclear power plant in the town, during a meeting at the Fukui prefectural government office on June 14, 2012. The governor is also expected to convey his approval to Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda as early as June 16.
