National team wing Loamanu tests positive for marijuana

TOKYO, Japan - National team wing Christian Loamanu (file photo taken on Jan. 18) tested positive for marijuana in a chemical compound after a doping exam conducted by the Japan Anti-Doping Agency in January, his team Toshiba Brave Lupus said on Feb. 5. Loamanu, 22, who originates from Tonga and plays for the Japanese Top League corporate team, has denied taking the drug.
