US: Time-Lapse Shows Heavy Snow Blanketing Ohio State University’s South Oval

Time-lapse footage shows snow accumulating over a 24-hour period on Sunday, January 25, at the South Oval on the Ohio State University campus. A major winter storm swept across the U.S., bringing widespread heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain. The storm has caused seven deaths and massive power outages affecting hundreds of thousands of people.

TOTTORI, Japan - A rabbit hutch at a school for disabled children in Tottori, western Japan, where 11 rabbits were found killed Aug. 26. Earlier this month, 10 rabbits were killed at the school attached to Tottori University. The rabbits killed in the latest attack were donated to the school last week to replace the rabbits killed earlier.

Brain tissues found in exhumed Yayoi-era human skulls

TOTTORI, Japan - Photo shows two of three skulls of 2nd-century AD people in which brain tissues have been found. The skulls were unearthed at the Aoya-Kamijichi ruins in the town of Aoya in Tottori Prefecture, western Japan, last May, the prefecture's education and culture foundation and Takao Inoue, professor of anatomy at Tottori University's School of Medicine, said April 16. It is believed to be the first discovery of its kind in Japan.

Greek professor will launch human sperm experiments

TOTTORI, Japan - Nikolaos Sofikitis, a researcher at the Faculty of Medicine of Tottori University in Yonago, Tottori Prefecture, speaks in a recent interview with Kyodo News at the university. The Greek professor said he and his team will launch experiments in Greece next year to preserve sperm-producing functions of young cancer patients by temporarily transferring them to mice and rats.
