Book recounts lives of shipwrecked sailors in mid-1800s

TOKYO, Japan - Yoshikazu Sano, a former producer of Nagoya Broadcasting Network Co., holds his recently published book, titled 'Sakoku Nippon, Ikoku Mexico' (Closed Japan, Exotic Mexico), about 13 shipwrecked Japanese sailors who were rescued and taken to Mexico by a Spanish ship in the 19th century. The Spanish version of the book, called ''Vida en Mexico de Trece Naufragos Japoneses'' (Life in Mexico of 13 Japanese Castaways) was also published in Mexico in June last year.
