The frigate practiced its strike capabilities by launching a Tsirkon hypersonic missile at a sea target imitating a mock enemy ship located at a distance of more than 900 km, it said. Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that the Tsirkon missile is capable of flying at Mach 9 or nine times the speed of sound and striking a target over 1,000 km away.
