The project will be carried out by a joint venture between Egypt's New and Renewable Energy Authority and the consortium partners -- Orascom Construction PLC, Toyota Tsusho Corporation, and French energy company ENGIE, according to a government statement. The new wind farm is planned to supply clean energy for two million households and will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions by 6.5 million tons per year, said the statement.
