Hundreds of people from Czechia, Germany and Poland protested against the planned extension of the Polish Turow lignite mine close to the Czech border at the international Thirst for Justice event staged at the Tripoint Memorial in Hradek nad Nisou, Czech Republic, on August 30, 2020. The protesters expressed fears not only of the loss of drinking water but also increased noise and dust concentration.
