LG Electronics to reenter Japanese TV market in Nov.

TOKYO, Japan - Two presenters demonstrate a liquid crystal display television in Tokyo on Sept. 27, 2010, which the world's second-largest flat-screen TV maker LG Electronics Inc. of South Korea will start selling in Japan in November. Sharp's new multifunction tablets

Available in two models, the tablets will allow users to subscribe to newspapers and magazines, and purchase electronic books, with a total of 30,000 titles available at launch, the Japanese electronics company said.

The company said the same day it will release the Blu-ray disc products in mid-February, entering the Japanese Blu-ray disc market for the first time since withdrawing from the HD DVD business following its loss in the battle to become the standard for next-generation DVDs.
