LG Electronics to reenter Japanese TV market in Nov.

TOKYO, Japan - Two presenters demonstrate a liquid crystal display television in Tokyo on Sept. 27, 2010, which the world's second-largest flat-screen TV maker LG Electronics Inc. of South Korea will start selling in Japan in November. The company will reenter the Japanese market that it withdrew from in 2008 due to stagnant sales.

The company said the same day it will release the Blu-ray disc products in mid-February, entering the Japanese Blu-ray disc market for the first time since withdrawing from the HD DVD business following its loss in the battle to become the standard for next-generation DVDs.
