US: Upriver Fire Rages Through Spokane Area, Prompting Evacuations

A wildfire dubbed Upriver Fire burned more than 200 acres near Spokane's Beacon Hill on Tuesday, June 16. The blaze forced "Go Now" evacuation orders for more than 11,000 residents as some structures were lost and no injuries were reported.

Stray orca swims back to the ocean

NAGOYA, Japan - Seen off by an orca-shaped pleasure boat, a killer whale which swam upriver into Nagoya heads back to the open ocean after a two-day rescue operation Feb. 23 to the cheers of thousands who lined the river bank.
