A metallic fence is erected around the building to isolate the workers, many of whom are from Romania and Bulgaria, amid the coronavirus pandemic. Over 1,500 people working at a slaughterhouse near Verl were infected with the new coronavirus in June after they were crammed into narrow rooms of the apartment complex.
