The protest has been called by Libertad sin Ira, Pie en Pared, S'ha Acabat!, Neos, Voces Libres, Con la Libertad and Revuelta in order to "internationalize the situation in Spain'' and to make the protest reach EU officials and politicians, correspondents of European media stationed in Madrid and European embassies in Madrid, ''so that Europe saves the situation''. The protest has taken place the day in which the PSOE and Junts have signed a pact in Brussels to invest the acting president of the Government and socialist candidate for re-election, Pedro Sanchez.
