US: Suspect in Custody After Officer Injured in Santa Monica Place Shooting

Police arrested a man who shot an officer at the Santa Monica Place, shopping mall in Santa Monica, on Wednesday, June 25. The suspect opened fire during a brief pursuit, as the officer attempted to detain him in connection with a Sunday shooting that injured two juveniles in a Waymo self-driving taxi.
