China: Delivery Rider’s Scooter Struck by Car While Waiting for Order in Hunan

On May 5, 2026, in Hunan, located in southern China, a video recorded a delivery rider wearing a black hat sitting inside a restaurant while waiting to pick up an order. Another delivery rider in a yellow hat walked into the restaurant shortly afterward. Outside on the road, a white car suddenly drove toward the parked vehicles and hit the black-hatted rider’s electric scooter. The impact pushed the scooter into another white car nearby. The rider saw what happened from inside the restaurant and became visibly upset. He had not yet received the food order, and now his scooter had also been badly damaged.

Italy: Pussy Riot, FEMEN Storm Venice Biennale in Anti-Russia Protest

Around 50 activists from Pussy Riot and FEMEN stormed the Russian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale on Wednesday, May 6, during its opening preview marking Russia's first return to the prestigious art fair since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Wearing pink balaclavas and setting off colored smoke flares, protesters chanted for over 30 minutes. Italian police blocked entry to the pavilion, which temporarily closed its doors. The group dispersed without confrontation.

China: Man Jumps Into River to Rescue Drowning Child in Leiyang, Hunan

On April 25, 2026, in Leiyang, located in central China’s Hunan province, a video recorded a rescue beside a small river. A child had accidentally fallen into the water, and a group of adults gathered along the riverbank to help. An elderly person held out a bamboo pole and told the child to keep holding on so the child would not sink. At the same time, another man jumped directly into the water. The man, wearing a white shirt and black pants, lifted the child upward and helped bring the child closer to safety. The rescue happened at around 4 p.m. and was recorded by people nearby. The rescuer later climbed back out safely. Chinese viewers identified him as a deputy director at a local hospital.

China: Trained Detection Dog Swims Wearing Custom Space-Style Helmet in Guangxi

On November 13, 2023, in Guangxi, located in southern China, a video showed a diver swimming underwater with a trained dog. The dog wore a specially customized helmet resembling a space suit. The helmet was designed to make underwater movement more comfortable. Together, the diver and dog moved smoothly beneath the surface. The dog was described as a trained narcotics detection dog. On January 27, 2026, in Chongqing, located in southwestern China, a video recorded several dogs wearing clothes and gathering together as if attending a small party. Among them, a black-and-white husky stood out for looking extremely tired. The husky lowered its head, nodded repeatedly, and appeared to be dozing off. Its mouth hung slightly open, giving the impression of deep exhaustion rather than excitement. Two other dogs nearby also looked low on energy, standing quietly and showing little movement. None of the dogs displayed the lively behavior usually expected at a party-like gathering.
