China: Mother and Daughter Rescued After Falling Into Icy Kanas River in Xinjiang

On February 10, 2026, in Xinjiang, northwestern China, a video described a mother and daughter who fell into the Kanas River while traveling in Xinjiang. The river water contained unmelted snow and felt extremely cold. According to the description, the pair accidentally slipped into the water during their outing. The icy conditions made the situation dangerous and difficult. A group of nearby people quickly stepped in to help. With coordinated effort, the rescuers pulled both individuals out of the river and brought them to safety.
