Son of Japanese man who remained in Philippines

OITA, Japan - Carlos Toshimitsu, 76, the son of a Japanese man who went to the Philippines before the Pacific War, hugs one of his relatives at Oita airport on July 19, 2012, during a visit to Japan to obtain Japanese nationality. Toshimitsu visited the birthplace of his father, Wahei Toshimitsu, in the city of Oita in southern Japan before leaving for the Philippines on July 22.
