This is the intense moment at Shanwei Railway Station where gusts and downpours caused by Typhoon Usagi, locally dubbed Tiantu, the 25th typhoon of the 2024, overwhelmed passengers. On November 14, 2024, Shanwei, Guangdong, was hit by Typhoon Usagi. The video captured the dramatic weather conditions, with rain drenching and winds buffeting passengers at the platform’s waiting area. As the wind escalated, several passengers sought refuge behind pillars, with one woman clinging tightly to a column to avoid being swept away. The video's creator expressed shock and fear as the storm rages around them, creating a scene of disarray and urgency. According to reports from Huizhou Release, Typhoon Usagi made landfall around 2 PM on the 14th near the northeastern coast of Luzon Island, Philippines, initially as a super typhoon before weakening to a severe typhoon. Moving northwest at 15-20 km/h, Typhoon Usagi was gradually weaken. However, it's progression has triggered severe wind and rain across coastal regions of Fujian, Guangdong, and Zhejiang. The video ended as the storm continues, leaving viewers with a stark visual of the typhoon's impact on Shanwei.
