Severe storms swept through southern Minnesota on Monday night, July 28, bringing heavy rain, quarter-sized hail, and wind gusts up to 70 mph. Areas like Edina, Eagan, and South St. Paul saw downed trees and widespread power outages. Over 130,000 Xcel Energy customers lost power.
