A violent storm hit Yonne in northeastern France on Wednesday, July 31, knocking down trees and causing power outages, road closures, and traffic interruptions. A TGV high-speed train hit a fallen tree on the tracks near Vaumort, and SNCF halted its services on two lines from Paris to the eastern region.
