YONO, Japan - The world's first museum dedicated to the late John Lennon, the John Lennon Museum, opened in the Saitama Super Arena in Yono, north of Tokyo, on Oct. 9, the 60th anniversary of the birth of the singer-songwriter. YONO, Japan - What is touted as the world's first museum dedicated to the musician John Lennon is shown to members of the media Oct. 5 prior to the formal opening on Oct. 9, the 60th anniversary of the birth of the singer-songwriter. The John Lennon Museum in Yono, north of Tokyo, will exhibit about 130 items of Lennon memorabilia, including his guitars, costumes, lyric notebooks and pictures of him with his second wife, Yoko Ono, and their son Sean.
