OSAKA, Japan - Sanyo Electric Co., which suffered its biggest group net loss in the just-ended fiscal year, said April 8 it will appoint freelance journalist and television celebrity Tomoyo Nonaka (L) as its new chairwoman and chief executive officer. Sanyo will also appoint Vice President Toshimasa Iue (R) to succeed Yukinori Kuwano as president.
