Anti-Japan protesters massed in four Chinese cities the same day, asserting Beijing's claim to sovereignty over the Japan-administered Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea. Marking the second straight weekend of anti-Japan protest events in China, the demonstrations took place in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province, in Haikou, Hainan Province, in Dongguan in Guangdong Province and in Yangquan in Shanxi Province.
