During every year's Dragon Boat Festival, various of competing dragon boats are scattered along the Zhujiang River. As a traditional folk custom, Dragon boat race is very popular among locals in south China's densely river-covered Lingnan area where almost every village boasts of its own dragon boat. The dragon boat "Dongpo" made in 1868 and belonged to Chepo Village is one of the oldest dragon boats in Guangzhou. As years passed, this old dragon boat has to inevitably face aging and damage. In order to protect this time-honored treasure, Chepo Village entrusted an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage and a shipyard in Guangzhou to recreate the dragon boat's dragon-head & tail-shap
