Drugmakers urged to stop shipping antifebrile drug

TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows medicines containing phenacetin, an antifebrile drug and painkiller. Japan's heath ministry on April 19 asked 25 pharmaceutical companies to stop shipping such medicines, saying patients taking the drugs are at risk of developing renal damage or bladder cancer.
