AOMORI, Japan - The U.S. military invited local officials to view a U.S. antimissile defense system near the U.S. Misawa Air Base in Aomori Prefecture on Nov. 6. The photo shows a U.S. army officer explaining the functions of a mobile information processing system known as JTAGS to about 50 invited officials from the city of Misawa and the adjoining town of Tohoku. The system was deployed at the U.S. base last month.
