China: Weakened Eagle Collides With Tanker After Rescue Attempt

On August 24, 2025, in Fujian Province, a video captured an eagle lying on a road under heavy clouds, apparently too weak to move. A passerby rushed to help and tried to encourage the bird to fly. The eagle managed to take off but soon crashed into the front of an oil tanker. Chinese netizens questioned the eagle’s fate, and the filmer later confirmed that the bird had died, drawing widespread sighs of regret.
