UK: Apartment Fire in Battersea Forces 50 Residents to Evacuate, Three Hospitalized

A fire broke out on the seventh floor of a 10-story residential building on Charlotte Despard Avenue in Battersea, London, on Monday evening, May 11. Around 50 residents were evacuated, and three people were hospitalized. Some 60 firefighters responded to the blaze, which destroyed a four-room apartment. The cause is under investigation.

A powerful windstorm battered Southeast Wyoming on Thursday, March 12, toppling semitrailers, downing power lines, and damaging trees and buildings. Wind gusts reportedly reached up to 109 mph, with dozens of trucks overturned across the state, including more than 10 between Cheyenne and the Colorado state line. Officials said sustained winds around 60 mph and powerful gusts created hazardous conditions, forcing truck drivers to stop and wait out the storm.

A pro-Palestine protest in Milan on Monday, September 22, turned violent upon reaching Centrale station. While the march began peacefully with tens of thousands of participants, a small group of masked agitators attacked police, breaking glass, throwing objects, and even using fire hoses against officers. Around 60 police officers were injured, 23 requiring hospitalization, and eight protesters were detained. The violence disrupted train services for hours.
