Royals Visit Valdesoto, Exemplary Town of Asturias Award 2025 - Spain

The King and Queen of Spain, Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia during the presentation ceremony of the Exemplary Town of Asturias 2025 Award in Valdesoto, on October 25, 2025, in Valdesoto, Siero, Asturias (Spain). Valdesoto, a parish in the municipality of Siero (Asturias), has been awarded the Exemplary Town of Asturias 2025 Award by the Princess of Asturias Foundation, after more than two decades of nominations promoted by its neighbors and associations. The jury highlighted its "commitment and collective effort to keep alive and promote ancestral traditions passed down from generation to generation", as well as its intense associationism, with more than thirty groups dedicated to leisure, culture, gastronomy, sports, folklore and environmental protection.
