A video from October 11, 2024, shows thick, dark smoke rising from the roof of a white hotel building in Shenyang, located in northeastern China’s Liaoning province. The smoke billowed high into the sky, alarming witnesses. The hotel, which is often used for wedding banquets, was undergoing renovations when a fire broke out in a bathhouse area. According to an official report, the fire was extinguished within 40 minutes by the fire department. Since the hotel was not yet operational, only one person was injured in the incident and was taken to the hospital.
