Toho Gas' "Air Ratio Visualization System" for Monitoring Combustion Conditions

Toho Gas' "Air Ratio Visualization System" for Monitoring Combustion Conditions

Toho Gas Co., Ltd. has developed the "Air Ratio Visualization System," a system to monitor the combustion condition of gas burners for industrial furnaces used in heat treatment and aluminum melting by measuring the difference between the theoretical required amount of air and the amount of air during combustion. The system can be done at low cost, employing general-purpose products such as oxygen sensors for automobile exhaust gas and EMS controllers for information transmission equipment. The system will be used to strengthen services as a solution for energy saving and efficient maintenance. The system has been narrowed down to the oxygen concentration measurement function, making it easier to use general-purpose products. However, if an automotive exhaust gas sensor is used as is, it will lose its output after about six months, so we developed our own control logic to extend its life.
