Torrential rain pounded Japan's Tokai region, including Nagoya, on Tuesday afternoon, September 8, flooding roads across the city. Heavy monsoon rain flooded roads and homes across Pakistan's capital Islamabad and neighboring Rawalpindi on September 1, overwhelming drainage systems and sharply raising water levels in the Nullah Lai, a major drainage channel running through Rawalpindi.
