TOKYO, Japan - Two Japanese researchers take pictures of Adelie penguins at Langhode Cove in Antarctica to look for possible cataracts as a result of harmful ultraviolet rays penetrating the Earth's atmosphere through the ozone hole over the South Pole. The researchers say they have yet to find any sign of cataracts in the birds. Langhode, home to about 300 penguins, is 25 kilometers from Japan's Showa Base in Antarctica.
