Panasonic has developed the technology to recycle TV sets more efficiently, ahead of the start of terrestrial digital broadcasting in 2011.

Sharp devises LCD to show same image quality as CRT

OSAKA, Japan - Handout photo shows a liquid crystal display (LCD) developed and unveiled Oct. 20 by Sharp Corp. Sharp said the panel shows images and colors as sharp as those produced with cathode-ray tubes (CRTs). The new LCD is capable of displaying 30 picture frames per second, twice as fast as conventional LCDs and the same as CRTs.
