China: Willow Catkins “Blizzard” Invades Beijing

Beijing was invaded by a "blizzard" of willow catkins on April 13. Every April, the Chinese capital is blanketed by poplar and willow catkins drifting through the air. These fluffy catkins originate from the seeds of female poplar and willow trees as part of their natural reproductive process.
