Rows of ceddars in hakone

The cedar trees in Hakone and a man in military uniform. From the glass negative, it is known to be a photo taken by Shima Shukichi who owned a photo studio in Miyanaoshita from 1878. An electric or telephone wire can be seen. In Motohakone, electricity started running only in 1905 and the telephone in 1912, so the photo was taken at a later period.==Date:unknown, Place:Hakone, Photo:Ogawa Kazumasa, (Credit:Nagasaki University Library/Kyodo News Images) [Cabinet Number5‐16‐0]
