US: Severe Weather Brought by Tropical Storm Chantal to Carolinas

After making landfall in South Carolina on Sunday, July 6, Tropical Storm Chantal was downgraded to a tropical depression. It brought heavy rainfall, caused widespread flooding, and spawned confirmed tornadoes. Tens of thousands were left without power. The storm moved northeast toward Maryland and possibly New Jersey.
