On Monday, December 1, sudden power outages struck Songshan Airport and parts of Zhongshan District in Taipei. At the airport, the international terminal lost power at 1:36 PM, but backup generators kept check-in and customs operations running. Some escalators and VIP lounge lighting were briefly affected. Taipower confirmed a disconnected feeder line caused the outage, which was fully restored by 2:48 PM. No flights were disrupted. In Zhongshan District, residents experienced both power and internet outages, affecting 4,698 users. Social media users shared reactions highlighting the sudden disruption and inconvenience.
