After the mid-Edo Period, the word chonmage was applied generally to men's topknots. A kimono-clad woman is holding an umbrella and riding a jinrikisha (rickshaw). The rickshaw man is barefoot, has a chonmage topknot, and wears a inhanten coat. The other rickshaw man pushing the cart from behind is wearing a head towel and similar attire.
