VJ Day street party, Walton-on-the-Naze, Essex

To celebrate Victory over Japan Day, the children of Walton-on-the-Naze, Essex, were given a street party with lots of fun and games. Residents of Churchfield Road organised the event and even managed to arrange some musical entertainment. Date: 14 August 1945
