At Uvalde's city square, people gathered to sing and pay tribute to the victims of the mass shooting. Outside a local childcare center, people placed flowers and toys on the 21 stools bearing the victims' names to remember them. Outside the elementary school where the tragedy took place, residents lined up to mourn the victims. Girl in Sasebo classmate killing to be institutionalized

SASEBO, Japan - A car carrying an 11-year-old girl charged with killing a classmate in June at their school departs from the Sasebo branch of the Nagasaki Family Court on Sept. 15. The court decided to institutionalize the girl. The decision provides for a compulsory measure where the girl's freedom of movement may be restricted for two years at an institution for the rehabilitation of delinquent children. (Kyodo)
