China: Brief Appearance of Seven-Colored Cloud Amazes Locals in Hubei

This rare moment captures an iridescent cloud spotted in the sky, as a local resident managed to film the fleeting phenomenon before it vanished within minutes. Filmed on May 30, 2025, in Enshi, Hubei Province, China, the video shows a vibrant, seven-colored cloud glowing above the skyline. The shimmering formation, commonly known as a "rainbow auspicious cloud", was visible for only about two minutes before fading into the atmosphere.

Residents of Beijing were treated with a stunning natural display on May 14. A circumhorizontal arc, created by ice crystals in the upper atmosphere refracting the sun's rays, appeared in the sky. The video was captured by Mr. Wang at the Xidan intersection in Xicheng District.

A rare rainbow cloud was spotted near the summit of Sanqing Mountain in Shangrao, Jiangxi on May 14. The filmer, Sanqing Mountain tour guide Mr. Chen, had just led several tourists to climb up to a scenic spot called Yu Tai when they spotted the colorful cloud.
