A hunger strike by coal miners demanding months of unpaid wages entered its second week on Monday, April 27, in Ankara, Turkey. Police fired tear gas and pepper spray to block workers from marching to the Energy Ministry from Kurtuluş Park, detaining union leaders during the crackdown.
