LOS ANGELES, United States - Fans who donned carefully constructed costumes of their favorite anime characters pose for a photo when an anime convention dedicated to Japanese comics and animation in the United States began at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on July 3. The expo is organized by the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation.
