US: Brush Fire at Joint Base Sends Huge Smoke Over Bourne, Massachusetts

A significant brush fire consumed a portion of Joint Base Cape Cod in Massachusetts on Thursday, May 1, sending a prominent plume of smoke into the atmosphere. Initial reports indicate the incident began as a controlled burn that subsequently spread beyond its intended area. Authorities reported full containment of the fire by nightfall.
