The treasure tower at the Okusha,Toshogu Shrine,Nikko

The Okusha, or tomb of Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu is enshrined in the back of the Homoto Hall of Toshogu. Within the stone walls leading from the Inuki Gate is the bronze Hoto on top of the eight-coloured and five-storied stone. There are candle stands in front in the shape of a crane and turtle, with an incense burner and three-legged flower vase. The honden,Taiyuin Shrine,Nikko

The hall of worship in the shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Iemitsu. Dragons are portrayed in each section in the ceiling and in the centre is the canopy donated by his younger sister, the Marquise of Maeda. To the right and left of the altar, a guardian dog and a Chinese-style figure of a lion are drawn. On the right is a drawing by Kano Tanyu.
