World Longest Underwater Road Tunnel Construction

QINGDAO, CHINA - DECEMBER 15, 2025 - At the construction site of the Second Tunnel Project, workers are assembling box culverts in Jiaozhou Bay, Qingdao, Shandong Province, China, on December 15, 2025. The tunnel is 17.48 kilometers long, with a sea section of 9.95 kilometers, making it the longest underwater road tunnel currently under construction in the world.
