Heavy rain and deadly flash flooding persisted in parts of the South and the Midwest over the weekend of April 6. A state of emergency was declared, and evacuations and curfews were ordered in parts of Kentucky due to historic flooding.

During the month, revenues (Goods and Services Taxes, or GST) from the import of goods was 38 percent higher, and the revenues from the domestic transaction (including import of services) were 12 percent higher than the revenues from these sources during the same month last year.
