SEOUL, South Korea - A woman, one of the plaintiffs filing a lawsuit against Japan's Nachi-Fujikoshi Corp. to seek compensation for their forced labor, speaks to reporters in Seoul on Oct. 30, 2014, after the Seoul Central District Court ordered Fujikoshi to pay compensation ranging from 80 million to 100 million won (about $76,000-$95,000) each. TOKYO, Japan - Police arrested a senior gangster and six other gang members on Jan. 10 on suspicion of swindling money by selling valueless paintings (photographed at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department) which they falsely claimed could be leased to hotels and other establishments. The suspects allegedly deceived the victims by claiming that they could obtain large fees from hotels and other establishments by leasing the works.

Masa, 61, who supported novelist Mario Vargas Llosa in the 1990 presidential election, said Masaki Seo told him shortly before the poll that Fujimori neither had Japanese citizenship nor a Japanese passport and that his name was not included in a Japanese family register.
