NTT DoCoMo to offer light-emitting handset to protect kids

TOKYO, Japan - Leading mobile phone operator NTT DoCoMo Inc. said Dec. 10 it will release a handset with advanced functions to protect children in emergency situations. The F801i model, to be put on the market on Dec. 20, sets off an alarm of 100 decibels and emits light when a user pulls an emergency hook, NTT DoCoMo said.
