Red London bus gets press preview ahead of debut in Japan

SHIMONOSEKI, Japan - A distinctive red double-decker bus from London on loan to the city of Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, on display to the press on March 12 ahead of the start of service at the city on weekends and public holidays this spring. London replaced the Routemasters with modern buses, both single- and double-deckers, in November 2006. The Routemaster on loan to Shimonoseki was built in 1962.
